Job Summary
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct regular audits of equipment, materials, and procedures to identify improvement areas, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Analyze processing and chemical laboratory data to identify trends for process optimization, and provide technical support to production personnel on troubleshooting and optimization. Facilitate training sessions on quality assurance principles and maintain documentation for all quality control processes, procedures, and inspection records. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and stay updated on industry regulations to incorporate relevant knowledge into operations. Perform duties on-site at the manufacturing facility during assigned shifts, requiring the ability to navigate the shop environment and use precision measuring instruments.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
- Three (3) years of work experience in quality assurance/quality control for manufacturing
- Experience in a processing environment
- A comprehensive understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP)
- Internal audit and ISO or similar Certification Audit experience
- AS9100
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, DMAIC)
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications
- Professional written and verbal communication (English)
- Computer proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience administering SharePoint including utilization of workflows and document revision tracking
- Experience using an ERP system
- Experience with accurate use of precision measuring instruments (mics, calipers, etc.)
- Knowledge of and experience with the use of CMM systems
- The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and use of safety footwear

- Certain positions may require a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), a credit report, and/or a medical physical examination
Desired Qualifications
- A combination of specialized training and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience in a processing environment
- Specialized training and experience conducting continuous improvement activities
- Internal audit and ISO or similar Certification Audit experience (AS9100 preferred)
- Experience using an ERP system
- Knowledge of and experience with the use of CMM systems
