Job Summary
Utilize quality science techniques to effect continuous performance improvement at assigned suppliers by reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies related to process, assembly, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical systems. Ensure product performance and quality conform to established company and regulatory standards while using surveillance and auditing techniques to identify opportunities for improvement. Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and procurement teams to facilitate supplier recovery plans and monitor supplier process compliance. Collaborate with suppliers to investigate root causes and corrective actions when deficiencies are detected, and deploy variation management tools to mitigate risk. This role requires 3-5 years of aerospace quality experience, AS9100/AS9102 knowledge, and includes mandatory travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience of Aerospace Quality requirements experience
- Previous experience with AS9100 and AS9102
- Previous experience performing and/or evaluating First Article Inspections
- Previous experience with blueprint reading
- Previous experience in Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action/Preventative Action Development
- Previous experience in auditing (any of these – ISO 9001, AS9100, Internal)
- Must be a US citizen
- Travel is required and may extend beyond the local area
- Work hours are not fixed or guaranteed and may extend beyond 40 hours per week to meet customer requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Aerospace supplier experience is preferred and may be used as the primary selection criteria among equally qualified candidates
- ISO 9001 is desirable but not required
