Quality Documentation Improvement Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct quality improvement analysis by identifying and monitoring ongoing issues, developing process metrics, and creating data collection tools. Facilitate process improvement efforts by engaging with Senior Leadership, Department Directors, and physician/provider representatives to present resultant data. Review patient information and screen it through the appropriate review process to ensure accurate and complete documentation of care meets quality guidelines and regulations. Requires current Texas RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree in nursing, and three years of relevant clinical experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with quality improvement methodology, documentation improvement, and data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Three or more years of relevant clinical experience
- Current RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with quality improvement methodology
- Work experience in documentation improvement, utilization review or hospital quality assurance
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis
- Certification in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program certification or equivalent
