Job Summary
Develop and monitor day-to-day operations of Adult Services programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, and KDADS regulations. Conduct periodic audits of day centers and residential locations, investigate noncompliance instances, and utilize web-based systems like Therap to track staff documentation and individual support accuracy. Coordinate the organization's IDD licensure process, manage corrective actions, and provide education, coaching, and technical assistance to Directors, Managers, and Direct Support Professionals on regulatory requirements and best practices. Engage stakeholders through statewide and local conference meetings to maintain current knowledge of HCBS Final Rule requirements and CMS guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience in quality, compliance, operations, or program management within I/DD services, HCBS programs, KDADS-licensed providers, aging services, or other healthcare or human service organizations
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding of federal and state laws and regulations
- Demonstration of strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to design, train and implement effective monitoring systems
- Ability to work well with a diverse population of colleagues, staff and supported individuals
- Evidence of strong moral character and ethical behavior
- Must be highly proficient with technology and data systems including Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), electronic health record/documentation systems (Therap), KDADS web-based portals, HCBS systems, and other regulatory and operational software
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines managing several assignments simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with and interact effectively with internal and external contacts
- Read, write and speak fluent English
- Pass background checks and drug test per Capper Foundation procedures
- Able to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Associate degree is preferred
