Job Summary
Conduct system, process, and product audits on purchased, manufactured, and finished goods while performing statistical analysis and capability studies. Assist in completing first articles, certificates of conformance, and PPAPs, and gather daily quality findings reports for distribution. Resolve quality issues using formal corrective action processes and coordinate with internal customers to implement permanent fixes. Maintain gage calibration systems, controlled documents, and environmental standards in compliance with ISO requirements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, internal audits, and new product development launches. Review customer return RMA processes and create quality alerts or part deviations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree
- Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Or equivalent job experience
- Master's Degree
- 2-5 years' experience in a quality related role in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, etc.)
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Syteline
- perform product and process audits
- utilize sound problem solving skills to resolve and document corrective actions
- knowledge of SPC concepts and can perform dimensional studies
- FAI's, C of Cs and PPAPs
- Understanding of control plans, FMEA's, and ability to perform process capability studies
