Job Summary
Quality Control Technician role focusing on developing and monitoring inspection procedures for fabrication and weldment parts, providing technical inspection support (visual & dimensional), assisting in non-conformance correction with production, programming bench measurement equipment (Virtek, Faro arm), contributing to Corrective Action, ECN, RMA, PPAP processes, and helping develop documents (work instructions, SOPs). The role involves gauge calibration, responding to customer issues, and participating in process improvements and internal audits. Must communicate effectively, be proficient with common measurement tools, and support operators with inspection methods and blueprint reading. The role is in-person Monday-Friday with 45 hours/week on average, with occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years experience in a quality control/inspection focused role
- preferable exposure to Welding and Fabrication
- experience with Corrective Action, Rework, PPAP processes preferred but not required
- Foundational blueprint reading abilities including weld symbols
- experience with process and documentation development or aptitude for
- proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, data entry
- strong math, problem sensitivity, and critical thinking
- desire to learn and grow
- ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels
- team-oriented mindset and customer-facing representation
- ability to read standard bench & hand measurement equipment (calipers, square, tape measure, height stand, gauges)
- comfortable with 8-9 hour shifts including potential weekends
