Job Summary
Join our precast concrete QC team as a Quality Control Technician. You will perform inspections from pre-pour to post-pour stages, document and file inspection reports, mark and layout products with accurate measurements, maintain production packets for traceability, escalate issues to the QC Manager, and conduct daily concrete testing (slump, spread, VSI, air content) including cylinder preparation and recording results. Must read and interpret shop drawings, have strong attention to detail, be able to work outdoors in varying weather, and have at least 2 years of construction QC experience; ACI/NPCA certifications or ability to obtain them are preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality control or concrete testing preferred.
- Experience in quality control, inspection, or related field, preferably within precast concrete or construction industries.
- Knowledge of concrete testing procedures and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate weights as required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction required.
- Prior Quality Control experience in manufacturing required.
- 2 years' experience in a precast concrete production shop preferred.
- ACI and NPCA Certifications (or the ability to obtain).
