Quality Control Technician - Precast Concrete

Job Summary
Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods to specified criteria and test methods, communicate nonconforming/out-of-tolerance conditions to the team, assist in determining causes with production or quality teams, and reject products that do not meet requirements. Maintain quality records and support quality certifications, ensure proper labeling and segregation of non-conforming/hold material, and perform calibration of inspection equipment. Provide learning opportunities on quality ASTM standards to production employees and participate in continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- 1+ years of quality inspection experience
- Possess or the ability to obtain ACI certification within first 6 months
- Ability to read and interpret ASTM standards and construction documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read drawings and prints
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment
- Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently
- Focus on problem solving and teamwork
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Average proficiency in mathematics
- Good visual acuity
