Job Summary
Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials and products at all stages of production using validated methodologies. Execute physical and physical-chemical tests for properties including brix, total acidity, pH, fill heights, volumes, and torque tests. Establish conformity of raw materials, intermediates, and packaging against established specifications while controlling HACCP and food safety compliance. Review and update operating procedures, recommend modifications to quality parameters, and ensure all SOPs are followed to prevent defects. Conduct finished goods checks, water checks, line checks, approvals, and calibrations in a timely manner. Communicate quality issues with the QC/QA Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain quality system procedures to ensure products meet customer requirements and internal standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must possess strong attention to details
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including, but not limited to Excel and Word
- Speak, read, and write English
- Be punctual and reliable
- Able to perform physical and mental work that requires total concentration and precision
- Be self-motivated
- Able to manage your time wisely
- Able to understand and follow all company policies, practices and SOP's
- Ensure that all SOP's are followed
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year associate degree in chemistry, biology, or laboratory science
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish and/or French
