Job Summary
Monitor, document, and verify quality, food safety, and sanitation standards in refrigerated production areas while conducting sampling, testing, and inspections of products and equipment. Calibrate weighing and temperature monitoring tools to ensure accuracy, then communicate deviations to INOB standards regarding food safety, security, and quality. Execute process control checks and corrective actions up to production stoppage, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SSOP, and GMP requirements. Collaborate with Meat operations and FSQA teams to maintain effective food safety protocols. Perform duties in cold working conditions (34°F) requiring frequent lifting and standing.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Meat Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Microbiology or related field
- One or more years of industry or classroom experience in food production, quality assurance, and/or food safety
- HACCP and/or Preventive Controls for Human Food Trained
- Strong written, verbal, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- INOB Store Experience: Minimum Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 1 year in current position
- No writeups in the last 6 months or attendance issues
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
- Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 hours at a time
- Experience in patty room, deboning, and chuck receiving
