Job Summary
Conduct part inspections across all production phases, including first piece, receiving, final, and in-process quality checks. Develop inspection programs for CMM, Faro arm, and Virtek systems while completing First Article Inspection reports and capability studies. Support Quality Engineering by creating documentation such as FAIR templates, PPAP documents, and certification reports. Assist Engineering with manufacturing process control documents and quality plans using SolidWorks. Disposition products with quality issues by creating NCMRs and setting up rework operations. Requires 3-5 years of experience, ASQ certification preferred, and proficiency with micrometers, CMMs, and GD&T.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years related experience or training
- Associate's degree (A.A.)
- ASQ Certification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Internet Explorer
- Familiarity with CMM programming software
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Strong math skills with an emphasis on trigonometry
- Ability to work in inches and millimeters
- Must wear safety glasses with side shields and steel toe/composite shoes while on the production floor
- Gloves may be required if handling parts
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas
Desired Qualifications
- SolidWorks experience
- Minitab experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Understanding and utilization of micrometers, verniers and scales (rulers), height gauges, protractors and optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM/PC-DMIS)
- Advanced measuring equipment (Romer arm, Faro arm, Virtek) experience
