Quality Control Technician

Job Summary

Develop corrective action plans with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely product shipment. Perform and record quality control evaluations on individual products, assembly processes, and finished goods using drawings and measuring devices. Complete verification checks on testing equipment and facilitate development of quality documents supporting the Quality Management System. Act on Engineering Change Requests, customer complaints, alerts, and service issues as needed while researching new testing methods. Work in a team environment to implement best practices emphasizing defect prevention and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Quality Assurance training with 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner
  • Familiar with ERP systems and concepts
  • Analytical problem solver
  • Effective communicator
  • High level of visual awareness
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs
  • Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder
  • Fluency in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • SAP
  • Lead methodology experience
  • Mechanical design experience
  • candidates with second language ability especially in Spanish or German
