Job Summary
Review project specifications, prepare submittals, and advise the sales department on mix requirements. Perform tests for concrete conformance, air tests, yield tests, and moisture tests for plant operators. Cast cylinders for mix design history, run trial batches to verify material performance, and test aggregate gradations across all plant locations. Update the mix design program and evaluate new sources. Work outside at plant and job site locations, including visiting projects and handling materials exceeding 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
- A critical thinking mindset, and ability to quickly problem solve
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance requirements
- Familiarity with aggregate sizes and required quantities
- Knowledge of the ready mix and aggregates industry
- ACI Field Technician Certification
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Will work outside at plant and job site locations, as well as in on office environment
- Will be required to visit projects
