Job Summary
Quality Control Technician for a national dental laboratory. Responsibilities include inbound Rx clarification, impression/model grading, potential involvement in outgoing quality assurance, upholding company quality standards for dental prosthetics, logging/case data in databases, maintaining daily production/quality benchmarks, applying dental aesthetics knowledge to resolve design vs. customer preferences, adhering to evaluation standards, reviewing prescription details for completeness, attaching clear case pictures to records, interfacing with teams to drive process improvements, and occasionally fabricating or repairing dental appliances for training while assessing feasibility across the production workflow. Requires strong problem-solving, English literacy, dental terminology knowledge, ability to use small hand tools, and familiarity with production processes; CDT is preferred but not required; 2 years minimum dental lab experience and 3-5 years additional experience in reviewing technician performance are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years Dental Lab Technical experience
- Advanced application of complex case fabrication and problem solving
- Experience with all stages of work required to build appliance from impression to finish.
- CDT is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3-5 years additional experience reviewing the performance of dental technicians.
