Job Summary
The Quality Technician will fulfill three cement-manufacturing quality roles on an alternating week schedule: chemical laboratory testing, physical laboratory testing, and production shift control. Responsibilities include reliable and accurate testing of plant raw materials, plant feed streams and sixteen types of finished product, plus maintaining laboratory equipment. Responsibilities also include recording and reviewing findings and test results using databases, spreadsheets, and other digital tools; assisting with customer service issues by troubleshooting problems or complaints; promoting core values through self-development and coaching others; and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies to foster a safety-focused culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Field of Study Preferred: Chemistry
- Required Work Experience: 0 - 2 years
- Knowledge of Data Entry, Microsoft Word and Excel
- SAP experience a plus
- Use of various scales, compression machine, sieve shakers, ovens, aggregate decant machines, aggregate splitters, computer
- May drive a vehicle
- Excellent math skills
- Detailed oriented
- Able to prioritize work
- Adhere to safety protocols and PPE use including respirator fit tests
