QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Job Summary
Inspect and test materials, components, and products at various stages of the production process using specialized equipment like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Document inspection results accurately and report quality issues or process deviations to supervisors. Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements while supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve concerns and participate in continuous improvement efforts. Maintain clean testing areas and use PPE as required in the manufacturing or laboratory environment. This role is essential in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction at Bascom Hunter.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or technical certification
- 3–5 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing inspection, or a related technical environment
- Preference for working knowledge of quality assurance practices, AS9100 and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to interpret GD&T
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and samples
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- All positions at Bascom Hunter are subject to background investigations
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check
