Quality Control Technician - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Job Summary
Inspect finished products, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company and customer standards. Measure and record data using the Datamyte system, verify equipment calibration, and collect product samples for testing. Communicate defects, packaging, or labeling issues to shift supervisors and trace non-conformance issues to their point of origin. Approve products after process or maintenance changes, prepare shipping samples with paperwork, and generate daily inspection reports and non-conforming product records. Maintain cleanliness in the testing lab and attend meetings regarding quality, safety, and production changes.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Additional specialized training in inspection procedures
- Minimum of 1 year experience in inspection procedures for a manufacturing enterprise
- Experience with technical cause and effect and problem solving
- Ability to perform reading, writing and speaking at an intermediate level
- Competence in practical application of arithmetic, algebra and geometry
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
- Ability to calculate fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, variables and formulas
- Ability to apply rational principles to solve practical problems
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Computer skills at an intermediate level
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, carry, reach, grasp, talk, and hear
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Ability to exert up to 5 pounds of force frequently and up to 30 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
