Quality Control Technician: 5am-3:30pm M-F w/some overtime

Job Summary
Conduct quality control functions related to Food Safety and Quality programs at a BRC Certified facility. Verify adherence to product and package specifications, calibrate equipment including weigh scales and moisture analyzers, and perform product testing and audit results. Assist in identifying and correcting causes of non-conformance, fill out required process audit forms, and perform HACCP checks. Communicate food safety and quality issues to production personnel and management while participating in all food safety and site-related training. Support the Quality Assurance Department in maintaining BRC certification and plant continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and emergency action plans. Report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years of quality experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GFSI audit schemes, such as BRC and SQF
- Experience calibrating equipment
- Proactive, self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Able to follow written instructions to ensure consistent quality monitoring processes
- Ability to multitask, recognize priority and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office Programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic math skills
