Job Summary
Lead shift production and optimize yield and throughput for the coating and laminating line. Work directly with the Production Manager on process improvements and assist in new product line trials for IR, ceramic, and metallized films. Perform root cause analysis for defects while maintaining optical clarity standards and understanding UV rejection parameters. Apply a lean manufacturing mindset and data-driven troubleshooting to ensure quality control. This role requires standing and walking for the entire shift with occasional lifting of 50 pounds, including use of gloves and safety glasses in warehouse environments with varying seasonal temperatures. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts Monday through Wednesday and a 4-hour Thursday morning shift.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year high school diploma (GED)
- Deep understanding of: Optical clarity standards
- Deep understanding of: IR / UV rejection parameters
- Deep understanding of: CL defects and causes
- Lean manufacturing mindset
- Data-driven troubleshooting
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk during the entirety of the shift
- Must be able to lift products
- Must be able to work in warm temperatures during the summer
- Must be able to work in cool temperatures during the winter
- Must be able to use gloves
- Must be able to use safety glasses
