Job Summary
Direct team members to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and lead continuous improvement efforts while managing SAP transactions and quality notifications. Supervise the processing of materials through QCINSPECT and QCPREPACK, resolve material issues with suppliers, and troubleshoot bottlenecks using a data-driven approach. Monitor key metrics for safety, quality, and delivery; provide root cause analysis for quality issues; and ensure associate training. Spend 90% of time on the floor, attend daily start-of-shift meetings, and report policy violations. Requires a 2-year degree, SAP knowledge, and a forklift license. This role supports Tennant's global manufacturing and operations functions, driving innovation in sustainable cleaning solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer a 2 year degree from an accredited institution
- Previous experience in a distribution center environment
- Tennant Company experience preferred
- Must be knowledgeable in SAP
- Experience leading teams preferred
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience
- Ability to acquire a forklift license
- Actively develop leadership skills toward supervision
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment
- Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
- Consistent attendance either onsite or remotely as needed by the business
- Ability to take direction and accept supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations
- Must be flexible with schedule to cover OT and absentee
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or moved up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
