Job Summary
Schedule and assign daily duties for Food Safety Quality Technicians, train new hires, and complete performance evaluations. Perform water sampling for third-party lab review, conduct weekly environmental checks, and execute testing on raw products from storage and incoming deliveries. Order lab supplies, coordinate customer samples, sign off on CCP records, and manage nonconforming product documentation. Correct errors in lot numbering and code dates when identified. Ensure all documentation is accurate and legible, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and provide backup coverage as required. Work in a cold, wet environment with physical demands including lifting up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma
- 2 years of relevant QA experience in a fruit environment
- Must be self-motivated
- High attention to detail
- Proficient using PC, via keyboard/mouse, and various software applications
- Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity and privacy of confidential information
- Ability to work well under pressure and quickly assess and respond appropriately to questions
- Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail

- Constant mental and visual alertness (including peripheral vision and depth perception)
- Color vision
- Eye, hearing, hair nets, bump hats, lab coats may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with third party audit and HACCP training ideal
