Quality Control Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise, train, and mentor Quality Control Inspectors while leading daily inspection activities, including first-piece, in-process, final, and pre-shipment checks. Perform receiving inspections and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS software to create programs and maintain inspection reports. Investigate nonconforming materials, lead root cause analyses, and support corrective actions to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. Monitor quality metrics, manage calibration activities, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve concerns and drive continuous improvement. This role requires a strong background in precision manufacturing, GD&T, and quality management systems. Full-time, 1st shift, Monday-Friday with a four-month 9/80 rotation. Salary negotiable. Admix is an employee-owned manufacturer of industrial mixing equipment serving food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within a quality organization
- Advanced experience programming and operating CMM equipment utilizing PC-DMIS software
- Experience supporting corrective action systems and root cause analysis activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, preferably Epicor
- Familiarity with quality management systems and document control processes
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications using ASME Y14.5-2018 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Thorough understanding of precision measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Understanding of calibration systems and measurement system best practices
- Strong mathematical aptitude including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and dimensional analysis
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal abilities
- Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and product quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Must be able to travel occasionally to suppliers, contract manufacturers, and customer locations for inspections, audits, and quality assessments
- Must be available for a four-month 9/80 work schedule (a two-workweek schedule consisting of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one scheduled day off) followed by a standard Monday through Friday workweek
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience in welding, machining, stainless steel fabrication, or assembly manufacturing environments
- Internal auditor training and auditing experience
