Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary
Approve incoming and finished materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections, measurement tests, and air infiltration or water penetration evaluations. Reject unacceptable units, return products for re-work, and prepare test specimens while unwrapping and re-wrapping items. Analyze causes for test failures, evaluate data to draft reports noting deviations, and assist in product certification activities and buck building. Communicate quality concerns with Line Supervisors and identify areas for continuous improvement in workplace organization and safety. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company standards while maintaining accurate test data.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, including calipers and dial indicators
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Print reading
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
