Job Summary
Perform incoming material and pack-out inspections, conduct in-process checks during engine overhaul and repair, and verify workmanship against OEM and company standards. Execute inspection plans with defined hold points, review test results for final quality release, and assist with functional testing and startup readiness reviews. Complete detailed inspection reports, maintain quality records, and ensure proper traceability of components while confirming technicians follow established procedures. Verify calibrated tools and measurement equipment usage, support calibration audits, and assist with impact studies to enhance operational performance. Split time between the Fort Lauderdale workshop and customer job sites, requiring local and overnight travel for field service support.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, repair, assembly, inspection, marine, industrial, diesel engine, or related mechanical environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to evaluate workmanship and identify quality concerns
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel engine repair, overhaul, or maintenance experience
- Previous quality inspection or quality control experience
- Experience working within an ISO Quality Management System
- Military maintenance or repair experience
