Job Summary
Conduct basic and advanced testing of raw materials and finished goods, including particle, stability, shelf-life, conductivity, pH, and microbiological analyses. Perform first article testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and feasibility studies while maintaining batch records and identifying out-of-spec materials. Execute functional assays, validate protocols and testing methodologies, and generate Certificates of Analysis. Analyze data using pH meters, conductivity meters, electrophoresis, western blotting, and Elisa techniques. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a life science field and familiarity with GLP and GMP standards. Based in Hercules, CA, the position offers a base salary of $70,310 to $85,300.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a life science (Chemistry, Biology) or related field
- 0-2 years in a general laboratory environment performing analyses in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry, or associated areas of life sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understands and can apply GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Strong computer skills
- Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office
