Job Summary
Manage quality control engineering and inspection work for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and welding disciplines. Supervise employees by training, mentoring, planning corrective work, and appraising performance. Review and control design and product submittal processes while performing inspections and witness tests to determine work acceptability. Coordinate QA inspectors with the Owner's Rep, maintain performance and inspection records, and participate in internal and external audits. Assist in preparing quality control procedures and reviewing purchase orders to ensure compliance with requirements. Inspect material shipments for adherence to quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field or a related program from an accredited institution
- Minimum Five (5) years of experience as a QC Manager
- Ten (10) or more years of combined experience as a QC Manager, Superintendent, Project Manager, Construction Manager or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts which include the major trades that are part of this contract
- Must be familiar with requirements of USACE EM385-1-1 and experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability
- Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities preferably with NAVFAC/ACOE or US Air Force
- Experience managing quality control, quality assurance on commercial building and heavy civil projects valued at $20M or more
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work with multi-national ethnicities' personnel
- Must be able to work in the U.S. and its territories
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on Federal or municipal projects is preferred
