Quality Control Manager

Job Summary
Develop and maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan, ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications, contract documents, and federal standards. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for definable features of work, including earthwork, concrete, structural systems, and utilities. Coordinate quality control inspections, testing, and documentation while reviewing laboratory reports and inspection records. Serve as the primary point of contact for quality control matters, resolving issues with project managers, engineers, and contractors. Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Participate in project meetings and coordinate with USACE Resident Offices. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 7+ years of QC experience, and ability to travel throughout Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of construction quality control or construction management experience
- Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites throughout Florida
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline preferred
- Experience implementing quality control programs for infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation
- Experience supporting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects
- Completion of USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors training
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or related professional certification
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) or federal construction management systems
- Experience with civil works, flood control infrastructure, reservoirs, or military construction
