Job Summary
Create and manage the Quality Control Plan for assigned construction projects, ensuring adherence to all quality standards and contract specifications. Review and approve submittals, process RFIs, and interpret complex technical drawings and survey data. Define problems, collect data, and establish facts to draw valid conclusions while implementing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Three Phase Quality Control Process. Prepare graphs, charts, reports, and manuals, and mentor Quality Control Specialists. Communicate with client quality assurance personnel and technical experts to ensure project goals are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of construction quality control experience
- Experience working on construction projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)
- Demonstrated track record and references as a certified QC Specialist/Manager on federal construction projects
- Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification or ability to obtain/renew
- Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple design teams through Design/Build project phases
- Strong proficiency in USACE Quality Control System (QCS) and/or Resident Management System (RMS)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with an emphasis on Excel
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification
- Pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana screening
- Federal Background/Security Clearance Requirements
