Job Summary
Quality Control Manager/QC Lab Manager leads QC lab operations across a three-shift production environment in a hands-on leadership role. Oversees day-to-day testing priorities (routine, in-process, stability, finished product), environmental monitoring, and critical utilities. Makes release decisions for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods; implements and improves quality systems, SOPs, and specifications to ensure regulatory compliance. Develops and audits staff, maintains training records, identifies risks in lab operations, and leads teams to resolution. Requires background in microbiology or chemistry within a medical device manufacturing environment, working knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements, and a track record of cross-functional leadership to translate quality strategy into actionable operational plans.
