Quality Control Manager - Dynamic Engineering

Job Summary
Conduct independent technical reviews of Land Development Plan Design, Stormwater Management, Water/Sewer, and Erosion Control designs. Identify design or constructability issues and provide value engineering solutions that reduce costs while ensuring deliverable quality. Verify that design and code requirements are defined and indicated on documents, then lead training sessions to foster technical excellence. Provide vision for design and production processes, perform periodic staff evaluations, and assist in improving design tools and procedures. Balance workload in a deadline-driven environment and travel to other offices when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- 10+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential and/or commercial/industrial/office site design and permitting experience)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop
- Familiar with BlueBeam for mark ups
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process
- Advanced skill level in design capabilities
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a plus
