Quality Control Manager - Dynamic Engineering

Job Summary
Conduct independent technical reviews of land development plans, stormwater, water/sanitary sewer, and erosion/sedimentation designs to identify constructability issues and drive value engineering. Verify that design and code requirements are defined and indicated on documents while ensuring the quality of project deliverables. Lead training sessions to foster technical excellence, evaluate staff for training needs, and guide the firm's design and production standards. Manage a small team, improve design tools and processes, and balance workload in a deadline-driven environment. Travel to other offices when necessary. This role supports the entire company's Quality Assurance team across various regional offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- 10+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential and/or commercial/industrial/office site design and permitting experience)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop
- Familiar with BlueBeam for mark ups
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process
- Advanced skill level in design capabilities
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Travel to other offices when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a plus
