Quality Control Manager - Dynamic Engineering

Job Summary
Conduct independent technical reviews of land development plans, stormwater, water/sewer, and erosion control designs to identify constructability issues and drive value engineering solutions. Verify that design and code requirements are defined and indicated on documents while ensuring the quality of project deliverables. Lead regular training sessions to foster technical excellence, provide vision for design production, and evaluate staff to identify regional training needs. Collaborate with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to improve design tools, processes, and procedures in a deadline-driven environment. Manage a small team in the future and travel to other offices when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- 10+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential and/or commercial/industrial/office site design and permitting experience)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process
- Advanced skill level in design capabilities
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Travel to other offices when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is a plus
