Job Summary
Create and execute a project-specific Quality Control Plan while managing QC software and coordinating testing services and inspections. Conduct weekly QC meetings, maintain daily reports and record drawings, and oversee re-work items to ensure accuracy. Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to submit necessary documents on time and prepare reports promptly. Perform site inspections, carry out LEED coordinator duties as applicable, and focus on site safety practices. Work full-time with varying hours, including potential weekend work and on-site travel within the San Diego area.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years' construction experience
- Experience in both civil and building construction
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to pass a background check to gain access to work on military bases
Desired Qualifications
- Current QC certification with Army Corps of Engineers or Navy (Construction Quality Management for Contractors – CQMC)
- B.S. degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- Experience with federal or public works construction projects
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Experience with Primavera P6, RMS, Oracle, etc.
