Job Summary
Manage all QC staff, processes, and activities for large DoD construction projects by interfacing professionally with client representatives and subcontractors. Review designs, manage submittal reviews against design documents, and implement approved QC Plans to ensure required records are generated. Identify deficiencies, prepare documentation, and verify corrective actions while stopping work to resolve non-compliant matters affecting safety. Coordinate commissioning, formal completion inspections, and project closeouts including document turnover. Train direct reports on procedures, manage their workload and performance, and foster an inclusive environment that aligns with company strategy. Collaborate with business development to integrate sales strategies and strengthen client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
- CMAA Certification
- Minimum 10 years construction experience
- 4 as QC Manager
- USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proactive management approach
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Skilled using Microsoft Word and Excel
- USACE QCS a plus
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
