Job Summary
Quality Control Manager responsible for regional quality control oversight, pre-construction review, and coordination with project teams and GC/owners. Duties include contract/specification interpretation, pre-construction mix design reviews, safety and regional quality compliance, field visits, developing solutions to quality issues, and managing quality staff. Requires strong communication, reporting, leadership, problem-solving, and knowledge of concrete production, testing, and applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA). Bachelor's degree in construction-related field recommended; 5+ years' concrete construction experience; ability to lead project teams and operate on-site.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with concrete construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended
- Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptable and flexible style
- Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
