Quality Control Manager

Job Summary

Develop and verify implementation of quality programs for the project, overseeing direct hire work and subcontractors. Manage and coordinate quality activities across field engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. Maintain client liaison for quality activities and review, audit, and survey quality execution to report problems and progress to management. Develop and submit daily QC logs, the Quality Control Testing Database, and all required submittals to the client. Requires USACE CQM-C certification, familiarity with the 3 Phases of Control System, and at least 10 years of construction experience including 3 years in CQC management. Salary range reflects total compensation including allowances, bonus potential, and retirement contributions.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • Equivalent experience in a construction-related position
  • Must be willing to travel and relocate
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience
  • At least 3 years of CQC management construction projects experience
  • Experience on 2 or more Federal Projects
  • Served as the Construction Quality Control Manager on at least 2 heavy civil projects with a construction value of $50 million or more
  • Familiarity with USACE 3 Phases of Control System
  • USACE CQM-C Certification
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
  • Extensive knowledge of ASTM, ACI, CWI, AASHTO standards and quality control testing database(s)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience on 2 or more Federal Projects is preferred
  • Familiarity with Roller Compacted Concrete, Soil Cement, and large dam or other water infrastructure construction
