Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager will lead quality control activities at a structural steel manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement. This role requires expertise in quality control, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in fabrication quality.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ASNT VT Level II
- 5+ years leading a quality control program in a heavy manufacturing or steel fabrication environment
- Solid understanding of structural steel fabrication, coatings, and non-destructive testing methods
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing teams and building relationships with engineers and inspectors
Desired Qualifications
- NACE or SSPC Level I (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- UT/MT/VT Level II certifications
- bridge fabrication experience
- degree in Quality, Engineering, or Construction Management
