Job Summary

Develop, manage, and enforce comprehensive quality control programs for maintenance, repair, and modification activities within a high-performance environment. Lead and mentor maintenance personnel in applying quality standards, inspection criteria, and verification procedures while conducting audits of processes, tools, and completed work packages. Validate repairs and system modifications against defined standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620, utilizing current Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications to verify material integrity. Identify quality issues and non-conformances to drive root-cause analyses and implement corrective and preventative actions. Ensure all maintenance actions conform to safety procedures and operational policies, fostering a culture of precision and accountability. Requires an Active Secret Security Clearance, five years of experience in aircraft or shipboard mechanical systems maintenance, and five years supervising such activities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance for facility, vessel, or platform access
  • Current Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications
  • Five (5) or more years performing maintenance, repair, or modification of aircraft or U.S. Navy shipboard mechanical systems
  • Five (5) years of concurrent experience supervising maintenance and repair activities in these environments
  • Strong technical background with direct exposure to inspection, verification, and maintenance quality standards
  • Extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing quality control programs within a maintenance environment
  • Essential familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620
  • Proven ability to identify quality issues, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
  • Project management principles and practices
  • Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership
  • Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical training in mechanical systems, quality assurance, inspection methods, or related maintenance disciplines
