Job Summary
Quality Control Lead oversees QA/QC and machining processes, operating and maintaining manual mills, CNC lathes, surface grinders, laser cutters, and shears to produce high-quality prototype parts. Responsibilities include rigorous quality inspections/audits of materials and finished parts, reading complex engineering drawings to verify tolerances, applying metrology with calipers, micrometers, and gages, maintaining accurate inventories in the MRP system, and upholding safety protocols including lock-out tag-out while leading in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced Inspector: Minimum of three (3) year of professional experience dedicated to Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting
- Skilled Machinist: Minimum of three (3) year of hands-on experience working in a Machine Shop environment
- Technically Proficient: Advanced math skills and the ability to perform complex tolerance analysis
- Detail-Obsessed: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to consistency in following established processes
- Adaptable Leader: A "can-do" attitude with the ability to shift priorities quickly and keep up with a high-velocity production schedule
- Safety-First Mindset: Solid knowledge of proper lock-out tag-out procedures
- Forklift certification is a strong plus
