Job Summary
Quality Control Laboratory Technician at a Cordova, IL site responsible for supporting product quality, development, process scale-ups, or production through elementary tests, measurements, and tasks. The role involves inspecting materials, in-process, or final products to meet 3M quality standards, utilizing LIMS and other systems, documenting test results, maintaining lab equipment, supporting process improvements, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The position requires reporting results and collaborating with diverse teams, with a 12-hour rotating shift at the Cordova plant, and may include responsibilities around test procedures, data interpretation, and communicating findings to ensure quality objectives are met.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution
- Associates/Two Year Technical degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Minimum of one (1) year of quality control technician experience
- Understanding of measurement, testing, and calibration concepts
- Experience with quality tools (check sheets, process flow diagrams, cause-and-effect, histograms, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, run charts)
