Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector performs product inspections using magnified visual aids and mechanical measuring devices to ensure conformance to internal and customer requirements. Reviews technical data packages (assembly instructions, drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications) to identify and resolve issues affecting product configuration, and to assign rework actions as needed. Accepts production WIP and approves for the next operation. Requires self-direction in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, and proficiency with computer-based applications. Prior experience with electronic assembly (SMT, TH, mechanical) and ability to operate inspection equipment and interpret measurement data are essential. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- Must have, or be able to acquire, operator certification for IPC-A-610
- Must have, or be able to acquire, operator certification for J-STD-001
- Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies
- Experience with electronic assembly including SMT, TH & Mechanical
- Ability to operate visual magnification devices (scope)
- Ability to operate and interpret basic electronic/mechanical measuring devices
