Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary

Inspect incoming materials, PC boards, harness assemblies, and final power supply units against BOMs and assembly drawings. Perform final inspections after test and burn-in, entering reject information into the computer and printing rework travelers to move orders to the next department. Maintain QA Supervisor on quality issues and document findings clearly while collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve concerns. Work the day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm with a half-hour unpaid lunch at XP Power's High Bridge, New Jersey facility.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality concerns, and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with individuals at all levels of the organization and across a variety of work styles and personalities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify potential quality issues, and make sound decisions independently
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, inspection criteria, and quality standards
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection, documentation, and compliance activities
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to actively engage in the quality process by identifying improvement opportunities and contributing ideas that enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Test, Materials, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or quality-related systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, quality control methodologies, and good manufacturing practices preferred
