Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector role at Xometry involves inspecting machined parts and finished goods to ensure conformance to customer specifications and quality standards, using AQL per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, documenting inspection results and non-conformances, developing and maintaining inspection procedures, coordinating calibration of measuring equipment, assisting with quality investigations and audits, and collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and support teams to uphold ISO-based quality systems and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience with PC-DMIS and CMM operation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus
- Proficiency with CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and the ability to generate drawings
- Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to quality
- Strong math and clerical skills
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
