Job Summary

Perform dimensional, weld, and coatings inspections for fabricated water and wastewater treatment equipment. Review project documentation including drawings, welding procedures, and test plans to ensure conformance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Generate inspection reports and packets while maintaining quality documentation and coordinating with internal functions such as engineering and supply chain. Support supplier audits and communicate product feedback to Product Managers. Review specifications to ensure safety requirements and PPE needs are properly accounted for at fabrication sites.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years (or more) of related inspection experience
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6, and ASME Section IX
  • Competence in reading and analyzing Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, Welder Certifications and Weld Maps
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel and other Windows applications
  • Knowledge in application of chemistry, metallurgy, or other related water treatment and fabrication processes
  • General understanding of equipment fabrication, troubleshooting, operation, mechanical, and/or process knowledge
  • Dedication to seeing a project through to completion
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international supplier sites (approximately 50% to 75%)

  • Adaptable to changing conditions and requirements, able to persevere in the face of challenges
  • Strong math skills including trigonometry and geometry

  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Must be able to perform computer-based work for extended periods
  • Must be able to perform inspection-based work (standing, climbing ladders / scaffolding, confined spaces, etc.) for extended periods
  • Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lb.)
  • Must be clean-shaved for proper fitting of respiratory equipment
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in fabrication, welding and inspection
  • AMPP NACE Level 1 Certification (or higher)
  • Understanding or experience in Non-Destructive Testing (MT, PT, RT, UT, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing (or equivalent)
