Job Summary
Conduct dimensional, visual, and certification inspections on incoming materials, production molds, parts, and fixtures using precision instruments like CMMs, optical comparators, and micrometers. Generate Non-Conformance reports for identified issues and communicate with vendors or internal departments to rectify quality problems. Perform First Article Inspections per SAE AS9102 standards, maintain inspection documentation in the online database, and calibrate equipment as required. Train co-workers and perform other testing duties as assigned. Requires two years of experience, proficiency with GD&T drawings, and computer skills. United States Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree or higher A+
- Minimum two years experience as a quality inspector with dimensional inspection experience
- Familiarity, experience with tools including micrometers, calipers, thickness gages, height gages including CMM
- Proficient computer skills working with Excel, Word, and other software
- Ability to read and interpret drawings with some GD&T background
- Ability to read and interpret detail product specifications
- United States Citizen or Permanent Resident
