Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of Steelhaus products using QC inspection tools. Will coordinate with assembly, manufacturing, and shipping/receiving. Responsibilities include prepping equipment prior to inspection, creating documentation to aid the inspection process, verifying dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments, performing first article inspections on all product runs, identifying and segregating discrepant parts, and notifying the Manager. General labor duties include housekeeping, manual/mechanical lifting, inventory tasks, pre-use inspections of mobile equipment, and operating a pallet jack, as well as office duties like photocopying and printing. Required abilities include reading and understanding part drawings, GD&T knowledge, 2+ years in a similar role, experience with precision measuring tools, understanding of the imperial system, and (asset) experience with CMM; basic MS Office skills. This position is contract and located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ Years in a similar role
- Ability to read and understand part drawings and GD&T
- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
- Understanding of the imperial measurement system
- Experience with CMM is considered an asset
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
