Job Summary

Inspect and verify product quality throughout all manufacturing stages, including CNC cutting, forming, welding, painting, and final inspection. Read fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure materials and finished products comply with engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and company standards. Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment like calipers, squares, and tape measures. Document nonconforming products, stop production as needed, and maintain inspection records while collaborating with Production, Welding, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and maintain material traceability throughout production.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • 1-3 years of Quality Control inspection experience in metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or a related industry
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication practices
  • Experience using tape measures in both imperial and metric systems
  • Experience using calipers (vernier), squares, angle gauges, and other dimensional measuring tools
  • Ability to convert decimal measurements to fractions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and quality documentation systems)
  • Ability to work independently and make objective quality decisions
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work safely around manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in structural steel or custom metal fabrication
  • Basic knowledge of AWS welding standards
  • Experience with material traceability and quality documentation
  • Previous experience in industrial manufacturing environments
