Job Summary
Mechanical Quality Control Inspector responsible for generating and maintaining inspection and test plans, documenting inspection results, interpreting technical drawings, verifying material conformance to Purchase Orders, initiating non-conformance reports, identifying nonconforming items, collaborating on project procedures and work instructions, coordinating quality activities with internal and external stakeholders, verifying calibrated equipment is used in inspections, assisting with History File preparation, and promoting safety. Requires 1-3 years in a mechanical field, ASME B&PV, Nuclear/ISO 9001 and CWB experience, W178 Level 2 Visual Weld inspection, proficiency with MS Office, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Base compensation ranges from $35 to $50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school education in QA/QC or a related discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience in mechanical field
- W178 Level 2 Visual Weld inspection
- ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ ISO 9001 and CWB experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal organization departments, Alliance partners, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work overtime and weekends as required
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
