Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector responsible for performing inspections on aircraft across various systems, ensuring proper documentation, FOD prevention, tool control, and conformance to FAA regulations. Role involves reviewing maintenance manuals and drawings, signaling non-conformances, training new employees, maintaining logbooks, and supporting program development. Field duties include outdoor work with travel as needed and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Minimum of 3 years A&P experience with at least 3 years’ experience working on Aircraft
- Must have at least 2 years of recent Aircraft Quality Control Inspector experience
- Knowledge of FAA Part 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145 including major/minor alteration/repairs
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and provide accurate descriptive feedback
- Working knowledge of maintenance record keeping systems and proper logbook entries
- Working knowledge of FAR Part 145 and related areas
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with documenting conformity and sign-offs in aircraft records
- Experience with Boeing, Gulfstream, and Airbus (preferred)
- Experience in Completions (preferred)
- Travel willingness for local and some out-of-area engagements
- Team-oriented and ability to work independently
