Job Summary
Conduct sampling, sorting, measuring, and inspection of incoming components and finished products against blueprints and checklists. Label, segregate, and report items failing inspection requirements while preparing documentation of deficiencies and errors. Review specifications to compare produced goods, determine defect causes, and communicate results with corrective suggestions to the department manager. Ensure all products meet customer expectations and report any non-conforming items. Perform other duties as assigned, including using measuring devices like calipers and calibrating with basic math skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 5 days a week – 8am-5pm.
- Must be able to read/write in English.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.
- Ability to use measuring devices like calipers and measuring tape.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Control
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, twist, and turn for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
